The case for and against

Updated Oct 18, 2026

Bull case

Cellebrite DI is supported by resilient demand in Defense & Intelligence, where ARR grew 25% Y/Y in Q2 and management highlighted strong interest in offline, edge-enabled mobile intelligence tools, including the new C-Tek and drone-extraction capabilities. Its broader fundamentals remain attractive because Q2 revenue rose 16% Y/Y to $131.1 million, gross margin reached 85.5%, and adjusted EBITDA was $31.8 million, while EBITDA guidance was raised to $153 million to $159 million despite softer ARR guidance. The company also has meaningful upside from Genesis, with more than half a dozen Q2 deals, about $400K of ARR secured after June 10th, and ARR approaching $1 million, suggesting new products can offset slower legacy migrations and improve long-term profitability.

Bear case

Cellebrite DI is exposed to an unusually concentrated public-sector revenue base, with about 90% of revenue tied to law enforcement and government customers and U.S. federal representing a high-teens share, making results vulnerable to budget delays, shutdowns, procurement friction, and shifting spending priorities. Its recent ARR shortfall and lowered CY26 revenue and ARR guidance underscore execution risk, as several large deals slipped by about 6 weeks amid foreign filer and data-sovereignty requirements, while Inseyets conversion is only at 65% with a lower-than-expected uplift. Growth also looks less durable because the company must continuously keep pace with changing hardware and OS security, while any successful patching of vulnerabilities by Apple or Android could erode its core device-unlock value proposition and pressure future results.
