The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Corsair Gaming is supported by better-than-expected top- and bottom-line results, with performance driven by its advantaged position in memory and ongoing initiatives in gamer and creative peripherals. Its premium memory brand and own RAM production capacity help it capture pricing power, and Q1 memory pricing tailwinds added about 340 bps to consolidated gross margins, though bottlenecks and supplier cost pressure could reduce that benefit as inventories reflect higher costs. Even so, upside remains as former competitor Crucial’s inventory clears the channel, while the stock’s 6.5x 2027 EBITDA valuation and the $50 million share repurchase authorization reinforce an attractive risk/reward profile.

Bear case

Corsair Gaming is negatively viewed because its discretionary gaming hardware is highly exposed to weaker consumer spending, rapid product obsolescence, and intense competition that can erode share and margins. The company also faces meaningful cost and demand volatility from DRAM pricing, third-party GPU and CPU cycles, and supply-chain dependence, while 53% of 2024 net revenue came from its 10 largest customers, including Amazon at 31%. Although Q1 revenue reached $355 million and gross margin expanded to 32.7%, management left full-year guidance unchanged amid macro uncertainty, and Q2 EBITDA guidance of $12.5–$15.5 million signals limited near-term visibility.
