The case for and against

Updated Oct 21, 2026

Bull case

Duos Technologies Group is viewed favorably because it is transitioning into a pure-play AI infrastructure company, with the legacy railroad business sold and capital redirected toward higher-growth edge data center and colocation opportunities. Revenue is already improving, Q2 rose 8%, backlog reached $51 million, and the new Duos Technologies Solutions business added about $26 million of backlog in its first two quarter of operations, while management maintained 2026 revenue above $50 million and outlined $160 million for 2027. The outlook is further supported by large, capital-efficient contracts, including a $500 million 55 MW Axe Compute deal and a $176 million Hydra Host agreement, plus $50 million of cash from the APR stake sale that strengthens execution and funding flexibility.

Bear case

Duos Technologies Group is facing a weakening near-term fundamental profile, as 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA estimates were lowered due to greater clarity on delays in energizing certain deals, while execution remains constrained by capacity limits and access to capital. Its fiscal Q1 2026 results were notably soft, with revenue of $2.7 million, down 45% year over year and far below the $9.6 million estimate, while EPS of $(0.15) also missed the $(0.03) expectation. Although 2027 estimates were raised on higher deployed capacity, the outlook remains pressured by OEM relationship risk, supply inflation, lease duration risks, and competition, with no Q1 guidance provided.
