Briquilimab is a targeted aglycosylated monoclonal antibody that blocks stem cell factor from binding to the cell-surface receptor c-Kit, also known as CD117, thereby inhibiting signaling through the receptor. The SCF/c-Kit pathway is a survival signal for mast cells. The company is also developing briquilimab as a one-time conditioning therapy for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) patients undergoing a second stem cell transplant for which it is conducting a Phase 1/2 clinical trial.
