The case for and against

Updated Oct 16, 2026

Bull case

Kornit Digital is supported by a clear recovery in demand, with Q2 revenue rising 11% year over year to $55.3MM, adjusted EBITDA turning positive at $0.3MM, and gross margin improving to 47.4%. Its outlook is strengthened by accelerating adoption of its digital textile platform, as ARR surged 79% to $33.8MM, AIC revenue more than doubled to $6.5MM, and total AIC contracted value reached $142MM, signaling durable recurring revenue growth. The company also benefits from a broadening customer base, 244MM impressions up 15% year over year, $450.9MM in cash and marketable securities, and debt-free status, which together support operating leverage and a favorable risk-reward profile.

Bear case

Kornit Digital is facing a fragile fundamental backdrop because its revenue base remains exposed to quarterly variability from high customer concentration, while competition in DTG and weak adoption of new products can pressure demand and limit operating leverage. Although Q1 revenue rose 4.5% year over year to $48.5MM and seasonal adjusted EBITDA loss improved to $(2.8)MM, gross margin still fell to 41.0% from 45.2% a year ago, reflecting 190 bps of FX and tariff drag. With equipment and consumables pricing pressure, broader macro and tariff/trade risks, and U.S.-led concentration, the business appears vulnerable to margin headwinds despite reduced op-ex of $25.5MM.
