The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Life360 is attractive because it combines a large, sticky consumer network of more than 100 million monthly active users with strong demand in family safety, driver monitoring, roadside assistance, and emergency dispatching, which supports recurring engagement and monetization. Its 2Q revenue of $159.0M grew 37.8% year over year and beat consensus, while adjusted EBITDA of $31.1M came in ahead as subscription and advertising revenue strengthened, reinforcing operating leverage and margin expansion. Even with 1H'26 technical issues, management reiterated FY'26 guidance and raised subscription revenue expectations to $475M-$480M, signaling confidence that the 17%-20% MAU growth path remains intact.

Bear case

Life360 is facing decelerating MAU growth, with 3Q data through 9/27 tracking about 1% below consensus at roughly +15.9% Y/Y, and the weakness appears tied to international adoption lagging, older-device compatibility constraints, and slower rollout of engagement-driving features. Its growth narrative is further pressured by saturation signs in the U.S., the difficulty of exporting higher-value services like roadside assistance internationally, and the possibility that Apple or Google could expand competing features and absorb free users. At the same time, consensus already reflects benefits from pet wearables, Nativo, and international expansion, while advertising-related data concerns and higher integration costs could limit EBITDA and make upside hard to achieve.
