The case for and against

Updated Oct 16, 2026

Bull case

Prenetics Global is supported by explosive top-line momentum, with preliminary June revenue of about $17M, 1Q26 revenue up roughly 333% year over year to $36M, and FY26 guidance raised to $210M-$220M, while ARR approached $200M and an annualized run-rate could reach $300M. Its outlook is strengthened by improving unit economics from the shift to quarterly subscriptions, which lifted new-customer AOV to $240, improved LTV/CAC to 3:1, accelerated cash collection by 3x, and helped IM8 reach 64% gross margin in 1Q26. The company also benefits from ~$140M of cash and equivalents, science-backed and third-party-certified products, a rapidly diversifying marketing mix, and expansion into adjacent products and global channels that should sustain growth beyond 2026 and into 2027.

Bear case

Prenetics Global is viewed negatively because its growth model remains heavily dependent on sales and marketing spend that is expected to stay above 60% of revenue, leaving profitability highly sensitive to customer acquisition efficiency and advertising conditions. Even with FY2026 IM8 revenue modeled at $204M and gross margin at 64.6%, the company still expects an adjusted EBITDA loss of $26.5M for the year, underscoring that scale has not yet translated into earnings power. As a global direct-to-consumer business, it also faces structural cost pressure from freight, warehousing, packaging, and last-mile fulfillment, while shifts in digital ads, privacy rules, or shipping rates could further erode margins.
