The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Revolve Group is well positioned for durable growth because its younger Millennial and Gen Z customer base remains resilient, self-purchase driven, and less exposed to macro stress, helping sales rise even with reduced performance marketing and unchanged installment use below 10% of sales. The company’s 2024 net sales of $1.1 billion, over $300 million in cash, no debt, and just over 3 million active customers support a long runway, while owned brands, the Grow-Good beauty JV, and Revolve Los Angeles should expand margins through higher mix and operating leverage. Management also sees further upside from international, physical retail, and recurring customer gains, with gross margin and Adj. EBITDA margin expected to improve as markdowns ease and SG&A leverage builds.

Bear case

Revolve Group is facing a weakening fundamental setup as marketing spend is not producing the expected return, which is pressuring operating margins and limiting leverage in the business. Higher return rates and elevated selling and distribution costs are also weighing on profitability, while modest product cost inflation and a lower gross margin outlook to 53.5%-54.0% suggest further compression ahead. Even with $1.1 billion in 2024 net sales and roughly 18% private-label mix, the company remains exposed to heightened promotional pressure, competition, and diminished marketing efficacy, all of which support a negative outlook.
