Bear case

SunPower is facing significant challenges, including intense competition within the downstream value chain and potential changes to government policies that could negatively impact demand. Additionally, the company's recent earnings miss and downward guidance revision raise concerns about its liquidity and ability to meet its FY23 targets. Structural cost reductions and margin improvements will be necessary for SunPower to bridge the gap between reduced guidance and its long-term targets, but these improvements have yet to materialize.
